While the ending of First Blood was changed because test audiences didn't want to see the character they grew to love die, the sequel pretty much discarded that character anyway and gave us a balls-to-the-wall action extravaganza. Rambo: First Blood Part II (blog post) sends John Rambo back to Vietnam, to rescue (blog) prisoners of war.. (click articles) but along the way, he learns something about life. Mostly how to end it by blowing shit up.
